Carolyn Carpeneti

Carolyn Carpeneti is a high-energy, fearless entrepreneur, having started three successful companies with nothing more than an idea. Carolyn’s unconventional route to business success has been a result of her tenacious, innovative and resourceful approach to problem solving.  Over the past 13 years, Carolyn has become an invaluable executive search partner for startup to Fortune 500 companies. Carolyn’s operational experience and keen insights take her beyond the surface of a company providing an insightful view into her client’s human capital needs. Carolyn’s strong intuition and hyper focus on understanding the culture of the companies she works with, takes the recruiting process to a much deeper level. From there, Carolyn’s been known to recruit the un-recruitable. As a result, she built a long list of loyal clients who have engaged her services in a variety of recruiting and human capital strategy projects. In addition, Carolyn works directly with executives in bringing out their brilliance by guiding them to create motivational channels for influence and leadership effectiveness. Carolyn speaks frequently to corporations and associations on such topics. Carolyn has worked with several successful companies including WeWork, Levi, Williams Sonoma, PUMA, Bolthouse Farms, Landor, as well as many startups.

Carolyn's career as an independent businesswoman began some two decades ago, when she founded and built a firm specializing in fundraising, event planning and public relations for high-profile events and organizations. She and her team coordinated the production of large events such as the 2000 San Francisco X-Games; she created (and coordinated) the annual 5,000-person Women's Conference, which included speakers such as Oprah Winfrey, Suzie Orman and Madeleine Albright.

In 2014, Carolyn launched what would be far and away her most ambitious, meaningful and satisfying business endeavor. As a “project on the side” she founded CoPilot Systems.  Inspired by her son, a smart and motivated young man who was accepted into the college of his dreams yet found himself flunking every class just 8 weeks into his freshman year. Carolyn built a time management/organizational system that lead to her son’s turnaround and the ultimate success of several other college students that she “coached” on the side. Carolyn raised $800k, built a technology team and automated her solution, a web/mobile application that currently serves the needs of many students across the country.

Her first book, Taking Flight – Mastering Executive Function was released April 2016.
