The Leadership Group (TLG) is pleased to announce the successful completion of the Vice President of Operations search for PrimeStar Solar. Ray Fortney and Kirsten Smith, Partners in our Energy and Clean Technology Practice, conducted this search.
Mark Desrochers has joined PrimStar Solar as Vice President of Operations. Most recently he was Assistant General Manager, Holland Mirrors, a subsidiary of Magna Donnelly. Previously he was General Manager of Global Electrochromic Cells, a subsidiary of Magna Donnelly. His experience spans over twenty years in leading the operations function in thin film technology companies.
PrimeStar Solar, Inc. was formed in June 2006 to develop and commercialize high performance, thin-film CdTe photovoltaic (PV) modules. The Company is scaling its proprietary semiconductor technology for low cost high volume manufacturing. Its modules will be deployed in large scale solar PV power plants and will efficiently tap into the vast energy potential of the sun. They will produce environmentally friendly renewable electricity that is economically competitive with electric power generated from conventional fossil fuels.
